1. Who are we
DentureCreators (sole proprietorship) processes personal data of (potential) patients and visitors to this website. We value the protection of your privacy and process your data carefully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related Dutch legislation.
2. What data do we process and why
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Contact & communication
For example your name, email and phone number when you contact us, to be able to respond or confirm appointments. - Treatment data
If you provide patient data via a dental practice, we process medical and treatment data as recorded in a patient file. This is necessary for the provision of care and its administration. Health data are special personal data and are only processed on the basis of consent or on the basis of a treatment agreement with your healthcare provider/dental practice. - Website usage
When you visit our website, technical data (for example IP address, browser information) are processed to make the use of the site possible and to improve it.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data based on:
- Execution of a treatment agreement (as laid down in the Medical Treatment Agreement Act)
- Legal obligations (such as keeping medical files)
- Consent, if specifically requested for additional purposes
- Legitimate interests, for example for security and management of the website.
4. Retention periods
Medical data is kept for as long as necessary for the continuity of care and according to the statutory retention periods applicable in the healthcare sector. For medical files, this can be for example up to 20 years from the last change, unless longer retention is necessary for your treatment or required by law. Other data is kept as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
5. Sharing data with third parties
Personal data is only shared with third parties:
- Healthcare providers involved in your treatment (with your consent or based on the treatment relationship)
- Processors such as administration software, hosting parties etc., exclusively on the basis of a data processing agreement
- Legal authorities if this is legally required

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
7. Your privacy rights
Under the GDPR you have, among other things, the following rights:

- Right to correction or addition of incorrect data
- Right to deletion or restriction of processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
